Alhamdulillah, congratulations to the three SMA Fighters, namely Ms Noor Raihanah Azemi, Ms Nadiah Rahaman and Mr Muhammad Syafiq Naim who excelled in the Boccia 2022 National Circuit 1 Championship on last 25-29 June. The tournament was organized by the National Sports Council (MSN) and was successfully held at the Kg Pandan Paralympic Center of Excellence, Kuala Lumpur.
The tournament showcased SMA Fighter Noor Raihanah Azemi representing the Negeri Sembilan Team winning the Silver medal for the Women's B4 Category and followed by SMA Fighter Nadiah Rahaman representing the Kelantan Team winning the Bronze medal in the same category. Meanwhile, SMA Fighter Muhammad Syafiq Naim who represented the Selangor Team still gave a great competition in the Men's B4 Category despite suffering a slight injury to his hand. The high fighting spirit shown by these three SMA Fighters is incredibly impressive, proving that they did not let SMA illness halt them from pursuing their dreams in the sport. Also, attending to give support was Puan Shakira Jamil Fisal as the President of SMA Malaysia during the tournament day.
This tournament is part of the preparation program for Boccia Paralympic athletes to give their best performance at the Kuala Lumpur 2022 SUKMA Para Games which will take place in November 2022. May they continue to be motivated, maintain momentum and improve their throwing skills. Congratulations and good luck to all SMA Fighters. You guys are extraordinary !!!
