Alhamdulillah, the SMA Malaysia 2022 Raya Open House was held successfully in Melaka on 21 May 2022. This program is the 4th program to celebrate Hari Raya Aidil Fitri which has been organized by SMA Malaysia, where it has been held twice in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan and once in Meru, Selangor. This time, Raihanah Residence located in Durian Tunggal, Melaka was the venue for the annual Hari Raya gathering for all SMA Fighters with their family members. SMA Malaysia is very grateful to Tuan Azemi Ali and his family, who is the father of SMA Fighter Noor Raihanah for his generosity to host and provide a place and food at the event. Other SMA Fighters' family members also did not miss bringing their respective delicacies to share.
All SMA Fighters were very delighted and did not miss the opportunity to meet fellow fighters after two years of not being able to meet face to face due to covid 19. The program this time has seen the presence of SMA Fighters from almost all over Malaysia, namely from Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka to come together and strengthen ties as one big family of SMA Malaysia. Poetry (Malay Pantun) recitation activities and children's quizzes were also conducted, which touched the heart and cheered up the atmosphere. This program got the attention of the Melaka Kini media and their journalists had the chance to meet Puan Arfah Jamian as the Deputy President of SMA Malaysia to find out more functions and activities that have been carried out by SMA Malaysia. Apart from that, also present to enliven the ceremony were Yang Berbahagia Prof Dr Zabidi Hussin, Chief Medical Advisor of SMA Malaysia, Yang Berbahagia Dato Hatijah Ayob, Chairman of the Rare Diseases Association of Malaysia (RDAFM) Foundation and her husband, as well as En. Muha Aziz, Deputy President of the Malaysian Independence Living Association for the Disabled (MILAD), also Ms Nur Syafiqah Yahya, President of the Independent Living Center Melaka (ILC Melaka) who is also an SMA Fighter. The ceremony continued with the handing over of hampers and duit Raya donations from Mr Muhd Affiq Azemi and Mr Mohd Jamil Hashim to all SMA Fighters. SMA Malaysia also presented souvenirs to Mr Azemi and his wife, as a token of appreciation and thanks.
The event was further enlivened with a karaoke session, while SMA Fighters and family ate and had a lively chat. The ceremony ends at about 6 p.m. Some returned to their respective places, others spent the night in Melaka. This program will continue to be SMA Malaysia's annual program and next year SMA Malaysia will plan to organize it again in other states to allow SMA Fighters to meet other SMA Fighters' friends.
