Talent Seek & PWDs Football Clinic was successfully held at Batu Berendam Sports Complex, Melaka on 27 November 2021. The program was organized by # MH Melaka Help in collaboration with Pan-Disability Football and RS Hub Mission, and supported by the Malaysian Paralympic Council. The program has been run smoothly by Coach Sunny Satesh and his team whom responsible for training the oku athletes for the Sports of football. Various categories of PWD Football events are conducted, including Blind Football, Autism Football, Down Syndrome Football, Cerebral Palsy Football, Amputated Football and the most recently introduced is the Powerchair Football category. A total of 4 SMA Fighters have tried new experiences, as well as pioneering this event and they were Ahmad Nazmi Md Nizam, Muhammad Syafiq Naim, Noor Raihanah Azemi and Siti Safura Jaapar. Another participant in this category was Ashwini from Melaka. The Closing Ceremony of the program was officiated by Datuk Subramaniam, Secretary General of the Malaysian Paralympic Council. This program also received coverage from RTM and was broadcast in the Selamat Pagi Malaysia program.
The development of PWD Sports is seen to have the potential to empower the PWD community, especially for PWD Football. The achievements of the National Paralympic athletes can no longer be denied and this has proven that they have succeeded in winning medals at the international level. SMA Malaysia is committed to work with various parties to polish the sports talent among SMA Fighters and in turn be able to make them national athletes.
