SMA Fighters Berentap Di Persada Dunia

Pertandingan Catur FIDE Online Olimpiad For People With Disabilities 2020 baru sahaja melabuhkan tirai semalam. Pertandingan Catur Peringkat Antarabangsa ini telah berlangsung dari 21 November hingga 2 Disember 2020 di mana pasukan Malaysia telah membariskan pemain-pemain catur OKU negara seramai 16 orang yang terbahagi kepada dua pasukan iaitu MAS1 dan MAS2.


Daripada 16 orang yang dipilih itu, dua daripadanya adalah SMA Fighters iaitu Amirul Iman Amiruddin (SMA type 2) dan Siti Safura Jaapar (SMA type 2). Sebanyak 60 pasukan dari 52 buah negara seluruh dunia telah bertanding dengan sengit dan kedua-dua pasukan negara telah berjaya memperbaiki kedudukan pasukan iaitu MAS1 dari kedudukan 50 ke tangga 31 dan MAS2 dari kedudukan 52 ke tangga 45.


Syabas kepada kedua-dua pasukan Malaysia dan tahniah kepada kedua-dua SMA Fighters. Terima kasih kepada pihak Malaysia Chess Federation (MCF), Persatuan Catur OKU Malaysia, para jurulatih, ketua-ketua pasukan dan pemain-pemain sepasukan. Semoga lebih ramai pemain-pemain negara dapat dilahirkan daripada keluarga SMA Malaysia di masa hadapan.

The FIDE Online Olympic Chess Competition For People With Disabilities 2020 has just closed yesterday. This international level chess tournament took place from 21 November to 2 December 2020 where the Malaysian team lined up 16 national OKU chess players who were divided into two teams, namely MAS1 and MAS2.


Of the 16 people selected, two of them are SMA Fighters, namely Amirul Iman Amiruddin (SMA type 2) and Siti Safura Jaapar (SMA type 2). A total of 60 teams from 52 countries around the world have competed fiercely and both national teams have successfully improved the team position; MAS1 from position 50 to position 31 and MAS2 from position 52 to position 45.


Congratulations to both Malaysian teams and congratulations to both SMA Fighters. Thanks to the Malaysia Chess Federation (MCF), Persatuan Catur OKU Malaysia, coaches, team leaders, and team players. Hopefully, more national players can be born from the families of SMA Malaysia in the future.
